Google Play Music partnered with TripAdvisor to offer travel soundtracks to users as they browse destinations in the TripAdvisor Android application. These soundtracks offer “locally themed” music, based on the city.
That is, as TripAdvisor users browse content for a travel destination, such as Paris or Rome, they will be able to listen to a variety of playlists themed to that location. Playlists are available when users are planning trips, as well as when they’re actually traveling.
In a blog post, Brandon Bilinski, product manager for Google Play Music, commented:
Wherever you go, or whenever you start planning your next vacation, TripAdvisor and Google Play Music have your ultimate holiday soundtrack sorted. Travelers can listen to Cafe Italiano while sipping an espresso in Rome, rave to the Underground Club Sounds of Berlin and dance to Sao Paulo Funk.
As part of this partnership, users who haven’t already subscribed to Google Play Music can sign up for a two-month free trial through the TripAdvisor Android app.
