Top 11 Influencer-Recommended Books in Facebook’s #ReadToLead Campaign (Infographic)

Looking to buy someone a book for the holidays? Facebook’s #ReadToLead campaign may be able to help.

Strategic partner managers Craig Mullaney and Erin Murray Manning said in a Facebook Media blog post that the social network’s #ReadToLead campaign was aimed at connecting influencers with readers, including the 230 million Facebook users who are connected to at least one author’s page.

According to Mullaney and Manning, 62 global influencers shared recommendations for a total of 231 books, and the 11 most recommended books of the year were:

  1. Sapiens: A Brief History of Mankind, by Yuval Noah Harari
  2. Originals: How Non-Conformists Move the World, by Adam Grant
  3. Team of Teams: New Rules of Engagement for a Complex World, by Gen. Stanley McChrystal
  4. Hillbilly Elegy: A Memoir of a Family and Culture in Crisis, by J.D. Vance
  5. The Industries of the Future, by Alec Ross
  6. Freakonomics, by Stephen Dubner and Steven Levitt
  7. Writing My Wrongs: Life, Death and Redemption in an American Prison, by Shaka Senghor
  8. The Gene: An Intimate History, by Siddhartha Mukherjee
  9. Endurance: Shackleton’s Incredible Voyage, by Alfred Lansing
  10. Delivering Happiness: A Path to Profits, Passion and Purpose, by Tony Hsieh
  11. Conscious Business: How to Build Value Through Values, by Fred Kofman
