World Wrestling Entertainment and Moji announced the release of WWEmoji, an emoji application for iOS and Android devices.
The app contains more than 100 emoji based on the WWE brand, which users can send to others in messages. Specifically, the app includes emoji based on Superstars from the past and present, such as Bret Hart and A.J. Styles, and it also includes animated emoji based on Superstars’ signature poses and moves. For instance, there is an animated emoji based on Randy Orton‘s RKO.
Users can send these emoji from the app’s custom keyboard, and iOS 10 users can also access them through the iMessage app. A user can send multiple emoji in a single message.
Casey Collins, executive vice president of consumer products at WWE, commented:
WWE fans are constantly consuming content on their mobile devices, and our new WWEmoji app will provide them with new ways to connect with our brand. We are excited to partner with Moji, a leader in the space, to create fun and engaging emojis that our fans can use to share with friends and express their passion for WWE and our Superstars.
The WWEmoji app is available to download for $1.99 on the iTunes App Store and Google Play. Users can purchase extra emoji packs based on John Cena, Stone Cold Steve Austin and the Bella Twins for $0.99 each. More premium packs will be released in the future.
In addition, Moji will release free weekly updates for the app, which will contain new Superstars and content based on current events in WWE.
