Agatha Christie: The ABC Murders Launches on iOS, Android

Microïds and Artefacts Studio released Agatha Christie: The ABC Murders on iOS and Android. The adventure game is based on the novel by Agatha Christie, and it sees users become detective Hercule Poirot on a quest to solve the case of the A.B.C. serial killer.

In Agatha Christie: The ABC Murders, users can tap to walk around environments, and they can tap on people or objects to interact with them. Users can also talk to other characters, and during conversations, players may be able to choose from multiple dialog responses. A player’s choices can impact the way each conversation plays out.

As users play, they’ll be able to complete first-person observation sequences, which allow them to discover clues in the environment, analyze the behaviors or moods of other characters and more. During these sequences, players will drag a circle around the screen to find the important areas in each scene.

In addition, the game contains more than 15 different puzzles to complete. For instance, one puzzle sees users interact with a cash register that contains a hidden key. Users must figure out how to collect the key in order to move on.

As players gather information about the case, this information is placed in Poirot’s notebook, where it can be viewed again later on.

Over time, players will need to use the information they collect to complete Poirot’s “little grey cells.” That is, players will need to answer Poirot’s mental questions about the case by dragging clues or observations to cells in the center of the screen.

Finally, if players become stuck, they can activate a clue in the game’s menu. Players begin with 10 clues, and they can purchase additional clues in the game’s store.

Agatha Christie: The ABC Murders is available to download for $6.99 on the iTunes App Store and Google Play.
