Confused About a Product? Pinterest Now Has How-To Pins

Sure, that DIY kitchen renovation or awesome life hack may look easy on Pinterest—until you start to actually tackle the project.

Pinterest wants to help this problem and bridge the information gap. The company announced Tuesday the launch of How-To Pins, allowing content creators to give step-by-step instructions within their Pins.

These How-To Pins are rolling out to Pinterest users in the U.S., France, the U.K. and Germany on Android and the Web. Pinterest said that iOS How-To Pins will be included in a future release.

When you tap a How-To Pin for a closer look, you’ll see a step-by-step breakdown of what you need to do to make that Pin a reality. Launch partners include Home Depot, Food.com, Style Me Pretty, Greatist, ELLE, Marie Claire, Brit & Co., Sunset and Delish.

Pinterest also earned high praise from survey participants as the top app for meal planning and fitness activities.
