Early round action from PGA Tour tournaments will be livestreamed exclusively on Twitter as part of a partnership between the golf organization and the social network.

The two parties said the livestreams will be available worldwide via PGATourLive.twitter.com and @PGATOUR, and they will typically include the first 60 to 90 minutes from Thursday- and Friday-morning play via over-the-top subscription service PGA Tour Live.
The livestreams will begin with the CareerBuilder Challenge Jan. 19 and continue through the PGA Tour Championship in August.
Content will include pre-tournament analysis, interviews, range coverage and live competitions from marquee groups’ first two holes.
On the business side, advertisers can tap packages including television-style mid-roll spots, as well as original clips produced by the PGA Tour.
The partnership between Twitter and the PGA Tour also includes an extension of the current Amplify arrangement, under which the golf organization will provide more highlight videos and original content for Twitter and Periscope.
Twitter chief operating officer Anthony Noto said in a release detailing the partnership:
The PGA Tour continues to transform the experience for fans on Twitter, a place where golf conversation is happening live in real-time every day. Our collaboration with the PGA Tour will provide fans all over the world access to watch livestreaming PGA Tour events on Twitter while following the conversation all on one screen.

Twitter and the PGA Tour have been working together on Twitter Amplify for many years now, and the program has been a tremendous success for both companies. Streaming PGA Tour Live programming to Twitter’s global audience, as well as the millions of users who follow @PGATOUR and hundreds of PGA Tour player accounts, will provide new and innovative ways for sports fans to engage with our premium OTT offering.
