YouTube announced two campaigns taking place in the YouTube Kids application during October. The YouTube Kids app contains family-friendly channels and videos from YouTube.
First, October is National Bullying Prevention Month, and to mark the occasion, YouTube Kids now offers playlists of videos that are aimed at helping children understand the importance of being kind and standing up for themselves and others.
Playlists are available in English, Spanish, Portuguese and Russian, and they can be found on the home screen of the YouTube Kids app through the end of October. For instance, in English-speaking territories, users can watch a playlist created by Zack and Caroline Marx, the teen creators of Grom Social, a social networking site for kids.
The second campaign focuses on Halloween, and it allows users to watch curated playlists of Halloween-themed content related to topics such as “costumes and crafts” and “sing-alongs,” among others. As part of this update, YouTubers Eh Bee Family, Cool School and Kidz Bop have curated playlists for children to watch.
The app’s Halloween playlists can be found on the home screen of the YouTube Kids app through Nov. 4.
The YouTube Kids app is available to download for free on the iTunes App Store and Google Play.
