EA Mobile launched the latest content update for The Sims FreePlay on mobile. The update includes the SimTown Health Spa community event, which allows players to complete quests to earn items they can use to pamper their Sims.
The SimTown Health Spa event allows players to construct a variety of Gem deposits, which can each be used to collect a different Gem currency in this event. For example, players will begin with the Quartz deposit, which allows them to collect Quartz. Over time, users will unlock deposits for Garnet, Moonstone and Jade. Players must assign a Sim to each deposit to collect Gems over time, and they can purchase multiple deposits to increase their Gem production.
Elsewhere, players can construct the new Coin Flower Patch on their land and use it to collect Constructor Coins, another event currency. To be specific, players can plant new Spin Flowers on the Coin Flower Patch, which allow them to play a slot machine-inspired game for a chance to win Constructor Coins. Each basic Spin Plant can be purchased for 400 Quartz, while Mega Spin Plants cost 20 Social Points.
As players collect Gems and Constructor Coins, they can trade these in for personal prizes, which are separate from the community collection rewards. For instance, players can unlock a set of Spa Robes for their Sims for 50 Quartz. Other prizes include Spa Rugs, a Hot Springs, Manicure Station, Mud Mask Chair, Massage Table and more. If players earn all of the personal prizes in this event, they’ll receive the Spa Resort Template, a fully designed spa users can construct on any home lot location.
The Sims FreePlay is available to download for free on the iTunes App Store, Google Play and the Amazon Appstore. This community event will end in 11 days, as of this writing.
