GroupClip launched its collaborative video creation application on iOS, which allows users to record the same event on multiple devices and combine clips into final video projects.
The GroupClip app allows users to invite up to four friends into recording sessions, even if they aren’t in the same location. As users record video clips, every user in the session has access to the group’s footage, and each user can combine and edit the group’s clips to create their own final video.
Finally, users can add music to their videos by browsing the songs available on their devices. However, the app will reject songs protected by copyright restrictions.
Users can share finished videos to social media, or save them to their devices.
In a statement, Kasper Luursema, co-founder of GroupClip, commented:
In a world where video will become the primary form to exchange information, there will be an unprecedented demand for easy-to-use tools that enable people to get their video story across. We believe that GroupClip will be one of those tools that the many millions of mobile phone users around the world will use to share their experiences, stories and knowledge through online video.
GroupClip is available to download for free on the iTunes App Store. The app is coming soon to Android.
