Developers unable to attend Facebook’s F8 global developers conference in San Francisco April 12 and 13 may have another alternative.
Director of platform product Deborah Liu announced in a blog post that the social network is organizing 27 global meetups to coincide with F8 2016, with each gathering featuring live streams of the opening keynote, as well as the opportunity for developers to connect with Facebook staff.
F8 meetups scheduled for April 12 are located in:
- Amsterdam
- Bangalore, India
- Berlin
- Bogota, Colombia
- Buenos Aires, Argentina
- Cape Town, South Africa
- Casablanca, Morocco
- Lagos, Nigeria
- London
- Los Angeles
- Mexico City
- Nairobi, Kenya
- Paris
- Sao Paulo
- Seattle
- Stockholm
- Tel Aviv, Israel
- Warsaw, Poland
And April 13 features meetups in:
- Delhi, India
- Dhaka, Bangladesh
- Jakarta, Indonesia
- Lahore, Pakistan
- Manila, Philippines
- Seoul, South Korea
- Singapore
- Taipei, Taiwan
- Tokyo
Liu said interested developers can register here for the meetups, adding that developers unable to attend either F8 itself or one of the meetups can still register here for access to the live stream of the keynote and other sessions, as well as bonus online content, including exclusive interviews and behind-the-scenes footage.
