Twitter Adds Stickers, Hashtag-Triggered Emoji for U.S. Election

As people around the U.S. vote in the 2016 election, Twitter is encouraging users to share that they voted using special hashtag-triggered emoji and election-themed stickers.

First, users can tweet the hashtags #ElectionDay and #IVoted to trigger the appearance of special emoji after the hashtags.

In addition, mobile users can add special U.S. election-themed stickers to their photos before sharing them on Twitter. Specifically, once a user adds a photo to a tweet, they can tap the smiling face button to access the stickers menu, where they can choose from eight stickers in the U.S. Election category.

Users can resize and move stickers around a picture, and they can add multiple stickers to a picture before tweeting it.
