AT&T announced that it will launch its DirecTV Now videostreaming service on mobile and other platforms Nov. 30.
The service will allow users to subscribe to one of four programming packages to watch live and on-demand content on iOS and Android mobile devices, Amazon Fire TV and Fire TV Stick, Apple TV, the web and more.
Here’s a breakdown of the four programming packages:
- Live a Little: $35 per month for 60+ channels
- Just Right: $50 per month for 80+ channels
- Go Big: $60 per month for 100+ channels
- Gotta Have It: $70 per month for 120+ channels
Subscribers will have the option to add HBO and Cinemax to their package for $5 each per month.
Users will be able to try any of the four packages for free for seven days by signing up on the DirecTV Now website and downloading the DirecTV Now application on iOS or Android.
To celebrate the launch of DirecTV Now, for a limited time, AT&T will offer the Go Big package at a discounted price of $35 per month. AT&T said users who sign up at that price will continue to have that price for as long as they keep the package, “subject only to future reasonable programming price increases applicable to all packages.”
In addition, all users (including non-subscribers) will be able to download the DirecTV Now app to access FreeVIEW, a curated selection of free, ad-supported on-demand content from “Audience Network, Otter Media properties and other channels on DirecTV Now.”
