2K and Cat Daddy Games released Mafia III: Rivals on mobile. The turn-based role-playing game is based on Hanger 13‘s Mafia III console game, and it allows each player to create and manage a crime syndicate in the city of New Bordeaux.
In Mafia III: Rivals, players can collect a variety of crew members for their teams, and they can take these crew members into level-based battles. As each character deals and takes damage during battle, their special ability meter will charge at the bottom of the screen. When a meter is full, players can trigger the special ability on their next turn.
As users collect crew members, weapons and other items, they can spend unwanted crew members and items to give other characters bonus experience points. Players will be able to unlock new skills for their characters as their characters level up.
Elsewhere, players can purchase Fronts, or special buildings, over time, and they can unlock upgrades for their crews inside these buildings. Each Front contains a different set of upgrades to unlock.
Finally, in addition to completing levels in a single-player campaign mode, users can also compete against other players in multiplayer battles.
Mafia III: Rivals is available to download for free on the iTunes App Store and Google Play. The game is rated 17+.
