Oona King is leaving the U.K. House of Lords to become global director of diversity marketing at YouTube.
King announced her move in a tweet (embedded below):

Saba Hamedy of Mashable reported that King, who is African American and Jewish, will relocate to the U.S., adding that she was the second black woman to join Parliament.
King said at an event at the House of Commons, as reported by the London Evening Standard:
It’s an amazing opportunity to go where the most exciting ideas are coming from. It’s looking at the future of broadcasting, because YouTube is the future of broadcasting.
