Armarium officially launched its on-demand fashion application on iOS. Previously an invite-only platform, Armarium allows users to browse and borrow high-fashion clothing items and accessories when they’re preparing to attend special events.
With the Armarium app, users can browse a variety of items, which each cost a different amount of money to rent, depending on the brand, item or season. Armarium said its goal is to price items at 10 percent to 20 percent of their normal retail prices. Users can keep rented items for four days before sending them back.
In addition, users can work with Armarium’s Style Brigade, a team of freelance fashion and celebrity stylists, to find looks for their events. This includes interacting with the Style Brigade via chat, in showrooms or in their own homes in supported cities such as New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco. Armarium offers a complimentary 15-minute styling call, but additional styling services are available for a fee.
In a statement, Armarium’s Trisha Gregory commented:
To date, we are showing an average repeat customer trend of 28 percent, with the average rental consisting of 1.25 items at around $300. We know our customer is pleased with the level of luxury product assortment that we offer and, in addition, she’s consistently reliant on our stylists to further her look and help ease any fit concerns.
Armarium is available to download for free on the iTunes App Store. The platform has raised $1.25 million in seed funding.
