Candy Crush Saga developer King released its newest match-three puzzle game: Farm Heroes Super Saga. The sequel to the original Farm Heroes Saga features more than 200 levels, which include new gameplay mechanics.
In Farm Heroes Super Saga, players are challenged to complete different objectives in each stage before running out of moves. For instance, one level may ask players to collect specific kinds of Cropsies (symbols) in bulk, while another may ask them to make matches next to flowers to make them bloom, and so on.
As gamers create matches with four or more symbols, or those in special T or L shapes, they’ll trigger reactions on the board, which can cause other Cropsies to disappear or to become worth more Cropsies when used in future matches.
In addition, when players create square matches, they’ll form large new Super Cropsies. Depending on the stage, users may be required to create Super Cropsies and collect them to complete a level’s requirements. When these Super Cropsies aren’t required for a stage, they will instead count for more than one regular Cropsie when used in future matches.
Elsewhere, the game’s Country Show feature challenges players to grow Cropsies outside of levels. Specifically, players are challenged to grow their Cropsies as large as they can before time runs out for a chance to win rewards. Players grow Cropsies by earning stars in levels. Gamers earn up to three stars on each level, depending on their final scores. Users can compare their Country Show standings with their friends’ standings on a leaderboard.
In a statement, James Nicholas, executive producer of the Farm Heroes franchise at King, commented:
We’re excited to be launching Farm Heroes Super Saga, the second installment in the Farm Heroes game franchise. We’re always looking for new ways to innovate within our games and give old and new players bite-sized moments of entertainment to enjoy when they have a few minutes to spare. With Farm Heroes Super Saga, we’ve moved the story on from the original title and added new challenges and features, such as being able to play against friends in the new “Country Show” event.
Farm Heroes Super Saga is available to download for free on the iTunes App Store and Google Play.
