Glu Mobile Launches Britney Spears: American Dream on Mobile

Glu Mobile officially launched Britney Spears: American Dream on iOS and Android. The lifestyle simulation game allows players to become a pop star as they rise through the ranks of fame with Britney Spears as their mentor.

The base gameplay in Britney Spears: American Dream follows the formula found in Glu’s other celebrity mobile games, such as Katy Perry Pop and Kendall & Kylie. Players will create an avatar by choosing from a variety of hairstyles, face shapes, clothing options and more, and will then complete quests to earn fans and fame.

Many quests ask players to complete timed events, such as radio interviews or recording sessions. These events see players spend energy to complete tasks, which reward them with event progress points. An event ends when players fill the progress bar, or when time runs out. Energy recharges automatically over time, or players can purchase additional energy with premium currency.

As players progress, they’ll be able to record songs to sell within the game. Users can select each song’s title and genre, and they can also customize each song’s album cover using background images, stickers, character avatars and text.

In addition, players will earn money as they complete quests and events, and can spend this money on new clothing items and accessories for their avatar, as well as furniture and other items for their home (some items are premium). Money can also be used to travel between the game’s cities: Los Angeles, Chicago, Miami and Las Vegas.

In terms of social features, users can chat with others while playing, add other users as friends and create or join a record label (a club of players).

Britney Spears: American Dream is available to download for free on the iTunes App Store and Google Play.
