Twitch has launched the latest update for its mobile app, introducing a new Channel Feed to users. This feature, which is also available on the Web, allows users to post content for their entire audience to see.
Users can join the Channel Feed beta by tapping their Twitch ID and tapping the Channel Feed toggle to turn on the feature on their account. From there, users can post updates to their channel (posts support Twitch’s emotes), and have the option to share these posts to Twitter at the same time.
Once they’ve published a post to their Channel Feed, users can tap the share button to share the post to additional platforms. Viewers, meanwhile, can leave ‘likes’ on posts.
In a blog post, Twitch’s Brian Petrocelli commented on the update:
We know how important it is for broadcasters to communicate with their viewers, and Channel Feed will make it easier than ever. Your Channel Feed is a customizable space on your Channel Page where you can easily share important news, announcements, and anything else you think is relevant to your community.
The Twitch app is available to download for free on the iTunes App Store and Google Play. Twitch has encouraged users to share their feedback about this new feature.
