Facebook, Instagram to Bring WWE Fans Ringside at WrestleMania 32

WrestleMania 32 will take place at AT&T Stadium in Dallas Sunday, and WWE is teaming up with Facebook and Instagram to bring fans into the ring and the locker room.

Facebook Live will be in heavy use by WWE Superstars and Divas Sunday, bringing live videos to WWE fans.

Real-time video highlights from the event will also be presented on the WWE WrestleMania Facebook page, along with 360-degree videos.

And exclusive backstage moments will be shared via the WWE Instagram account.

WWE and Facebook have worked closely together over the past year, resulting in a total of more than 406 million likes across all of the wrestling organization’s pages, including more than 30 million for the main WWE page.

Facebook said in an email to SocialTimes that WWE content has generated nearly 200 million video views per month, reaching as many as 150 million unique users, with the example embedded below featuring Shane McMahon and The Undertaker at a WWE Raw event earlier this week.

Facebook strategic partnerships manager Patrick Chapman said in an email to SocialTimes:

WWE has taken a leadership role in how to engage Facebook fans with great video. That strategy is driving new heights in engagement and views, and as we prepare for WrestleMania 32, I’m eager to see how they’ll leverage Facebook Live to keep the momentum going.

WWE senior vice president, digital and social content Jayar Donlan added:

We are always looking for new opportunities to engage our fans and give them the ultimate experience on Facebook. Live video continues to be a key component of WWE’s social media strategy, and utilizing Facebook Live during WrestleMania week will allow our fans to experience our biggest event in a new way.
