Japanese developer Office Create has launched Cooking Mama Let’s Cook Puzzle on iOS and Android. Rather than focusing on the step-by-step recipe creation found in previous Cooking Mama games, Cooking Mama Let’s Cook Puzzle is a fast-paced puzzle game similar to Line: Disney Tsum Tsum.
In each round of Cooking Mama Let’s Cook Puzzle, Mama gives players 60 seconds to earn as many points as possible by tapping on food symbols called ‘Foo-Don’ to create dishes which are served to hungry customers waiting at the top of the screen. Players may need to create more than one dish for each customer before moving on to the next.
While playing, gamers can tap on groups of three or more touching, matching Foo-Don to remove them, or tap and hold on these groups to fuse them into one larger Foo-Don. Users can also drag individual Foo-Don around the screen to create larger groups before removing them. Gamers can purchase special power-ups before each game, including ones which add extra time to the clock or boost their score, as examples.
Players may be presented with a different selection of Foo-Don in each game, and gamers will level up these Foo-Don over time, making future matches of these symbols worth more points.
Gamers can complete quests as they play, which may ask them to serve a required number of guests, or clear a specific number of Foo-Don symbols, as examples. As they complete quests, they’ll unlock new restaurants on the game’s menu, which offer new quests to complete.
Cooking Mama Let’s Cook Puzzle is available to download for free on the iTunes App Store and Google Play.
