Facebook on Monday began introducing another new video feature for iOS users, this time with birthdays in mind.
The social network said in an email to SocialTimes that it launched a birthday video cam feature, allowing users to record 15-second birthday videos for their friends, and it explained how the feature works:
On iOS devices, you’ll be able to go to your birthday friend’s profile, tap the banner video prompt where you would usually write happy birthday, and record! Once you’ve got a heartfelt or funny birthday message, you can swipe through an assortment of birthday-themed frames to add to your video before posting it on your friend’s Timeline. Get together with your friends or family to make an extra-special birthday group video message.
