EA Mobile has announced the release of a Valentine’s Day content update in Plants vs. Zombies 2. The Valenbrainz event will last 13 days, and includes a new premium plant, as well as Valentine’s Day-themed zombies, levels and collectible costumes.
The Valenbrainz event features 11 themed levels, as well as a new premium plant, the Blooming Heart. This plant shoots heart-shaped projectiles at zombies, which cause increasing damage with each hit. The event also includes six new Valentine’s Day-themed zombies.
In addition to this Valentine’s Day event, EA Mobile has announced the Modern Day Part 2 update will launch in the game on February 16. The update will include a new premium plant, the Escape Root, which is a trap plant that can switch places with other plants, and, when threatened, can replace itself with an explosive plant like a Potatomine or Cherry Bomb.
Other new plants include the Grimrose, which will hide in the shadows and appear under their target, and the Dusk-lobber, which shoots projectiles into multiple lanes.
The Modern Day Part 2 update will also include 16 new themed levels, as well as collectible costumes. In addition, the update will feature the All-Star Zombie, which can quickly rush down lanes, and the Super-Fan Imp, an explosive zombie.
Plants vs. Zombies 2 is available to download for free on the iTunes App Store and Google Play. The game has been downloaded more than 100 million times since its release in 2013.
