Twitter has been experimenting with push notifications for breaking news events that bring users to related Moments.
The social network confirmed to Patrick Kulp of Mashable that it was testing the feature, and Kulp shared the tweets below illustrating examples from Monday—the terrorist attack at a market in Berlin, and the electoral college victory for President-elect Donald Trump.

Kulp reported that Twitter has been testing the feature for “months,” including with non-breaking-news topics, such as ABC reality-competition show The Bachelor.
