After dabbling with games created by advertisers, Snapchat rang in the Christmas season with a native game of its own.
The messaging application confirmed its entry into native games to Josh Constine of TechCrunch after a game called Santa’s Helper was discovered inside one of its lenses.
Constine shared the tweet below from U.K. band New Hope Club:
Day 23 of #NHCChristmasCountDown ! Play the new Christmas game on Snapchat Send us in pictures of your high scores. I wasn't very good ❤ http://pic.twitter.com/fjEHB4jMdc

He reported that Santa’s Helper adds users’ faces to elves’ bodies, and users then tilt their devices to steer down a ski slope, collect presents and avoid obstacles. Constine added that photos and videos can be captured at any point during game play and shared with friends.
Constine pointed out that Jesse Wodjylo of Wodjylo Social Media reported in March that Snapchat tested a game sponsored by Kraft Macaroni & Cheese in which players had to catch noodles in their mouths.
In August, Gatorade debuted a playable video game ad on Snapchat celebrating the career of tennis legend Serena Williams.
And Under Armour released a similar game featuring Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton the following month.
Wodjylo also discovered an unsponsored Puzzle Face game earlier this month, Constine reported, in which users slide tiles around as quickly as they can to reconstruct their faces.
