Salesforce released its Advertising Index Q2 2016 Report Wednesday.
Highlights include:
- Facebook: Global costs per thousand impressions (CPM) were up 173 percent compared with the second quarter of 2015, to $6.33. The global click-through rate was 1.29 percent. For e-commerce advertisers, Germany had the highest CTR, at 1.63 percent, followed by the U.S. (1.54 percent).
- Instagram: Global CPMs of $6.30 were up 42 percent compared with the first quarter of 2016. The growth rate in the U.K. was just 6.4 percent, much lower than Australia or the U.S.
- Twitter: Global CPMs were down 18 percent compared with the year-ago period, to $4.29, and down 38 percent from the previous quarter.
- LinkedIn: Global CPMs rose 13 percent versus the second quarter of 2015, to $29.43.
