Google will allow users to view event schedules, medal counts and athlete information within search results. In addition, when users search on the Google application on iOS and Android, they’ll have the option to receive automatic updates on “top event and medal wins” as the Games progress.

Elsewhere, users will be able to watch official broadcasters’ video highlights on YouTube in more than 60 countries. Video highlights will also be available in Google searches.

YouTube will send 15 creators to Rio for the games, who will share live videos via the platform’s mobile live streaming capabilities, as well as 360-degree videos.

YouTube said in the past 12 months, over 23,000 years of content were watched on YouTube for the four most popular Olympic Games sports: athletics, gymnastics, diving and swimming and volleyball. YouTube said nearly two-thirds of that viewership happened on mobile devices.

Finally, YouTube said ads from worldwide and national Olympic partners accumulated over 400 years’ worth of watch time from April through June.
