Mobile Game Roundup: Riptide GP: Renegade, Six! and More

Are you looking for a new mobile game to play this weekend? If so, there are lots of new games available for you to try, including FarmVille: Tropic Escape from Zynga. The tropical farming game allows players to create their own island resorts and complete quests as they craft items.

In addition, Plarium released Throne: Kingdom at War this week. The MMO (massively multiplayer online) strategy game allows players to build their own kingdoms in a medieval setting.

If you’re looking for something different to play, here are some of the additional mobile games that released this week.

Riptide GP: Renegade ($2.99 on iOS, Android) – This racing game from Vector Unit allows players to race “rocket-powered watercraft” through a variety of futuristic environments. In each race, the watercraft will accelerate automatically, and players can steer using touch or tilt controls. Users can also play the game using controllers. As players complete races, they can unlock better watercraft, and they can also upgrade their watercraft over time. In addition to a single-player career mode, Riptide GP: Renegade includes eight-player online races, ghost racing leaderboard challenges and four-player split-screen local multiplayer races (each user needs their own controller).
Woody: Endless Summer (Free on iOS, Android) – This endless wakeboarding game from INDT challenges players to help a dog named Woody wakeboard as long as possible by tapping to help him jump over obstacles as he moves across the water. Games are timed, and users must reach progress checkpoints in the path before time runs out to earn more time and continue playing. While users are allowed to hit obstacles as they play, this slows Woody down for a short time. Users can collect coins as they play, which can be spent on upgrades for the game’s power-ups (coin magnets, time freezers and more).
Puzzle Monster Quest (Free on iOS, Android) – This line-drawing puzzle battle game from Kick9 allows players to draw lines connecting matching colored tiles on the board to move their characters and attack enemies. Players can collect new characters for their teams as they progress. Users can also collect crafting materials over time, which can be used to create new gear for their heroes. For a limited time, the game includes characters from the Japanese manga series Attack on Titan, such as Captain Levi, Eren Jaeger and Mikasa Ackerman, along with unique monsters and Attack on Titan-themed dungeons.
Muhammad Ali: Puzzle King (Free on iOS, Android) – This line-drawing puzzle game from Cosi Games allows players to help Muhammad Ali win boxing matches by drawing lines to connect three or more matching symbols on the board. In each level, players are challenged to complete a specific objective before running out of moves. As users create matches, Ali will throw punches at the opponent. The more symbols used in a match, the harder the punch will be. Users will earn one star the first time they complete each stage. Users can earn two more stars on each stage by replaying them two more times. Each level’s goal will become more challenging on each star level.
Auralux: Constellations (Free on iOS, Android) – This strategy game from War Drum Studios challenges players to take control of every planet in each battle by assigning their units to take over neutral or enemy planets. Each planet a player controls generates units automatically over time, and players can assign groups of units to attack specific planets. When a player wants to attack an enemy-controlled planet, their units will need to outnumber the enemy’s units that are defending the planet, or their army will be defeated. Auralux: Constellations contains 13 constellations, each with 11 levels to complete. The first constellation is completely free, and the rest of the constellations include two free levels. Players can unlock individual constellations for $1-2 each, or they can unlock every constellation by purchasing a $10 bundle. In addition to single-player levels, the game includes multiplayer levels for up to four players.

Con Man The Game

Con Man: The Game (Free on iOS, Android) – Developed by Frima and executive producer PJ Haarsma, this mobile game inspired by the Comic-Con HQ show Con Man allows players to build and run their own comic book conventions with the help of actors Alan Tudyk and Nathan Fillion. In the game, players will be able to construct booths to fill their conventions, and they will also need to build items like bathrooms and food stalls to take care of their attendees’ needs. In addition, players will need to defend their conventions from alien invasions by using their “Superfans” to defeat aliens in battles.

Sacred Legends (Free on iOS, Android) – This action RPG from Deep Silver Fishlabs and Chimera Entertainment challenges players to save the kingdom of Ancaria from demons. The game allows players to create heroes in three classes: warrior, archer and seraphim, and their heroes will become stronger over time. During each level, heroes will automatically walk through the environment and attack enemies, and players can tap buttons to trigger their heroes’ special abilities or use potions. Gamers can collect new gear for their heroes as they progress, and they can use unwanted gear to enhance items they’d like to keep. In addition to a single-player campaign mode, Sacred Legends also includes a player-vs-player arena.
Super Atomic (Free on iOS) – This reflex-testing game from Pine Entertainment challenges players to tap at the right times to help an orb jump over spikes as it automatically moves along a circular path. The orb will move faster as it completes full laps around the circle (until it reaches its maximum speed), and players must survive for a set number of laps in each level to move on to the next level. Levels become more difficult to complete as players progress. When players hit spikes, they can start over from the beginning of their current levels, rather than starting over from the first level.
Dragonlings (Free on iOS) – This jumping game from RisingHigh challenges players to complete levels by tapping and holding on the left and right sides of the screen to move their dragonling from one platform to the next as it bounces into the air. Players can collect dragon eggs as they play, which contain new playable characters. Users can also collect stars in each level, which can be spent to unlock these characters once their eggs have been collected. In addition to a level-based story mode, Dragonlings also includes an endless arcade mode.
Take Cover (Free on iOS, Android) – This base-building combat game from Playdigious allows players to construct military bases by collecting and spending multiple resources. Users can recruit a variety of units for their armies as they progress, and they can take their units into battles against the computer or other players. During battles, players can spend points to deploy their units to the battlefield, and they can use cover items to protect their units from enemy fire. Players earn more points as they defeat enemies in battle.

Six! (Free on iOS) – This puzzle game from Gram Games asks users to tap to remove shapes underneath a hexagon so it can move down the screen without falling off of the tower. In the game’s endless mode, users can continue playing so long as the hexagon doesn’t fall off of the tower. The game also includes challenge levels, including daily challenge levels, which aren’t endless. Players can collect stars by reaching certain progress checkpoints in each game. These stars can be spent on new hexagon designs.

In addition to these new releases, here are some of the previously released mobile games which have come to new platforms.
