Bethesda released a new update for Fallout Shelter on iOS and Android, bringing new quests and characters to the game.
In Fallout Shelter, players create underground Vaults to protect their Dwellers from the Wasteland at the surface.
With this update, users can now complete new quests, including weekly quests that will be added to the game every Friday. In addition, the game has received its first time-limited “special event” quest, which stars Bottle and Cappy, the mascots from Fallout 4 add-on Nuka-World.
This five-part special event quest asks players to rescue Bottle and Cappy from Raiders. If players complete the quest before the event ends, Bottle and Cappy will visit their Vaults. Players can tap on Bottle and Cappy during their visit to receive Caps and Nuka-Cola Quantum, the game’s premium currency, as rewards.
In addition to adding weekly and special event quests to the game, Bethesda said it will also add holiday quests to the game in the future.
As part of this update, players now have the ability to skip unwanted quests using Nuka-Cola Quantum.
Finally, this update includes new objectives for players to complete to earn rewards.
Fallout Shelter is available to download for free on the iTunes App Store and Google Play.
