Disney’s The Jungle Book: Mowgli’s Run Dashes Onto Mobile

Disney Interactive has announced the launch of The Jungle Book: Mowgli’s Run on mobile. The endless runner allows players to run through the jungle as Mowgli while avoiding obstacles and enemies including Shere Khan, King Louie and Kaa.

In each game of The Jungle Book: Mowgli’s Run, Mowgli runs away from the screen automatically, and players swipe to switch between lanes to avoid obstacles. Players can also swipe up or down to jump over or slide under obstacles, and must tap on the screen when special prompts appear.

Gamers can collect honey drops as they run, and spend these on upgrades for the game’s power-ups. One power may give Mowgli a boost of speed while running, for example, while another rewards players with bonus honey drops when it’s collected, and so on.

When gamers run into small obstacles, like tree roots and rocks, they lose some honey drops, but can continue running. Games end when players fall into a gap or run into a large obstacle, like a tree. At the end of each game, players are shown a short clip from the live-action film The Jungle Book, which hits theaters on April 15.

The Jungle Book: Mowgli’s Run is available to download for free on the iTunes App Store and Google Play.
